According to legend, St Urho - the patron saint of Finland - chased the grasshoppers out of ancient Finland to save the grape harvest.

He apparently used his magnificent voice to chant "Heinasirkka, heinasirkka, mene taalta hiiteen", forever saving the Finnish wine industry. Some say Finland is grasshopper free still.
